Expedite Base for Windows - Version 4.7.1
SSL support

Expedite Base for Windows 4.7.1 now supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) TCP/IP connectivity to Information Exchange. Communication between Expedite Base for Windows and Information Exchange is performed using Client X.509 Certificate authenticated SSL for enhanced security.

Digital certificates encrypt data using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, the industry-standard method for protecting web communicates developed by Netscape Communication corporation. The SSL security protocol provides data encryption, server authentication, message integrity, and optional client authentication for a TCP/IP connection.

Expedite Base for Windows 4.7.1 customers can communicate with Information Exchange using asynchronous communication, standard TCP/IP, or Secure Sockets Layer TCP/IP.

AT&T Global Network Client ver 5 is included with Expedite Base for Windows 4.7.1. Also, Expedite Base for Windows 4.7.1 is now supported on Windows 2003 server edition.

You must download the application files from the Expedite and Expedite Base download site. Run the self-extracting package and the install program will start automatically to install IBM Java Runtime (JRE) and Global Security Kit (GSKit) with iKEYMAN. When the installation is complete, a new folder is created containing the dialer icon and the icons that are required to run Expedite Base for Windows. Reboot your system. Upon restarting your system and before launching the iKEYMAN tool to handle certificates, you must run the ikmsetup. bat file from either Start > Programs > Expedite Base for Windows > iKEYMAN Setup or from the Expedite root directory.
