Expedite for Windows Version 6.3.1 now supports Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) TCP/IP connectivity to Information Exchange.Communication between
Expedite for Windows and Information Exchange is performed
using Client X.509 Certificate authenticated SSL for enhanced
security.
Expedite for Windows customers can communicate with Information
Exchange using TCP/IP or Secure Sockets Layer TCP/IP.
AT&T
Global Network Client version 5 is included with Expedite
for Windows 6.3.1.

Enhanced
session status information |
|
A
new session status display window shows session status messages,
bytes sent and received, number of files sent and received
during the session, and a progress indicator for sending or
receiving during both attended (Pickup Counter) and unattended
(Dropoff Box) sessions. |

One-step drop off and processing of orders |
|
When
assigning orders to dropoff boxes, the Dropoff Orders window
provides a Process Now option, allowing you to process orders
without returning to the Dropoff Box container.
Quick
send allows you to send a file without creating an order
or using a dropoff box. Select "Send" from the Pickup Counter
menu and enter the filename and the recipient's nickname.
Quick
receive allows you to send a file without creating an order
or using a dropoff box. At the Pickup Counter, log on to
your Information Exchange mailbox, and mark the items you
wish to receive. Select "Receive" from the Pickup Counter
menu, and specify the file name where the data should be
stored.

View files received |
|
Expedite for Windows allows you to view received files if the appropriate
viewing application is installed on your system. |

Improved
status reporting |
|
Expedite for Windows provides messages confirming that no errors
occurred while receiving files. Also, the Type column indicates
whether the receipt is a session receipt, a send receipt,
or a receive receipt. |

Save environment setting across sessions |
|
Expedite for Windows saves the main window size, position, and sort
order from one session to the next.

Improved help system |
|
Expedite for Windows provides direct access to Expedite-related
Web resources through links in the Help menu. |

Java program interface |

The
Java interface enables Java programmers to write Java programs
to control Expedite for Windows through the existing C-language
interface. |

New INI entry to support traditional format for file name creation |
|
The
FileNameFormat entry in the Expedite.ini specifies which format
to use when renaming multiple files received with the same
name. |
