System requirements

The minimum hardware and software requirements for Expedite Base/400 4.6 are:

• An AS/400 or IBM sServer iSeries system.
• At least 14 Mb of memory for objects.
• Sufficient additional memory for personal command, response, control, and data files.
• At least 64 Mb of memory for Operation Navigator for Windows 98^® or ME; or at least 96 Mb of memory for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000.

• OS/400 Version 5.1 or 5.2.
• AS/400 Client Access with Operation Navigator for TCP/IP dial acess.
• For SSL TCP/IP communications:
  • A certificate obtained from the following URL: https://pki.services.ibm.com/.
  • Digital Certificate Manager (DCM), a free iSeries feature.

• For SNA LU 6.2 communications, your system must have a leased or dial NCP LU 6.2 connection.
• For TCP/IP communications, your system must have a leased or dial TCP/IP connection.
• For SSL connectivity via the Internet, contact your Internet service provider for hardware requirements.
• For dial connectivity, your system must have AS/400 Client Access for Windows NT in order to use Operations Navigator, which allows you to create the necessary PPP dial profiles.
