Information
Exchange offers a wide variety of ready-to-use communication
interface software packages and gateways to help your business
get up and running quickly and efficiently. The software
packages that transmit both EDI and non-EDI data are installed
on your system, while gateways are accessed through a managed
network.
Expedite
and Expedite Base licensed programs communicate with your
Information Exchange commerce engine mailbox to process
EDI standard data, non-EDI data, and system files. These
programs take advantage of many communication features of
Information Exchange, such as distribution support, alias
tables, archive capability, audit capability, selective
message receive, and a flexible message retention period.
Expedite
Base licensed programs provide
the infrastructure to exchange both EDI and non-EDI data
with Information Exchange. Users will typically write a
program that provides an interface between Expedite Base
and their applications. The program could be either a GUI
interface for a manual operation, or an interface for direct
access into an application.
Expedite
licensed programs provide a user interface that ensures
easy communication setup and transmission of data. Expedite
uses the Expedite Base programs for the interface to Information
Exchange. Expedite programs provide the GUI interface so
you do not need to write interface programs to communicate
with Information Exchange.
