PTF EX00001 is available for Expedite Base/MVS 4.6.1

Customers affected: All Information Exchange customers using Expedite Base/MVS.

Note: The information in this technical bulletin should be read by all Expedite Base/MVS customers who use the DELIMIT(C) parameter on the SEND command when sending files to Information Exchange (IE).

This Technical Bulletin describes the fix to Expedite Base/MVS, which prevents customers from sending an empty file to IE.

When presented with an empty file on the SEND command using DELIMIT(C), Expedite Base/MVS 4.6.1 sent a 1 byte file. PTF EX00001 corrects Expedite Base/MVS 4.6.1 and instead writes message 22615 - "Send or Putmember file was empty" to OUTMSG when presented with an empty file.

If you are a new customer, order the product and install the package following the instructions in the Program Directory shipped with the product tape. Once you have successfully installed the base product, follow the instructions on the GXS website.
