Expedite Program Modification and Operating System Support Update

Customers affected: All Information Exchange customers using the following licensed programs:

• Expedite Base for Windows 4.7.1
• Expedite for Windows 6.3.1
  

This Technical Bulletin describes a program modification update and contains updated information regarding operating system release platforms for the following Expedite programs:

• Expedite Base for Windows 4.7.1
• Expedite for Windows 6.3.1

Program Modification Update

Expedite Base for Windows and Expedite for Windows programs have been modified to support AT&T Global Network Client version 5. Because AT&T no longer supports the version of AT&T Global dialer (version 4) that was packaged with earlier versions of Expedite programs, AT&T Global Network Client version 5 is now included with both Expedite Base for Windows 4.7.1 and Expedite for Windows 6.3.1. AT&T Global Network Client version 5 supports both dial and Virtual Private Network (VPN) communications.

Note: These versions of Expedite programs will no longer support AT&T Global Network Dialer Version 4.

Expedite users can continue to use the existing commands and parameters provided in the Expedite programs to communicate with AT&T Global Network Client.

Operating System Release Support Update

Expedite Base for Windows 4.7.1 runs on the following operating system release platforms:

• Windows 2000
• Windows 2003 Server
• Windows XP

Expedite for Windows 6.3.1 runs on the following operating system release platforms:

• Windows 2000
• Windows XP

Note: Because Microsoft no longer provides standard support for Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows Me, we no longer provide support for those platform versions. Also note that AT&T Global Network Client version 5 is not officially supported on Windows 2003 Server editions.
